Words are my Courage

they play a saxophone, til they are blue in the face.

drink so much,  they feel like a disgrace.

beat on drums, til they are sweaty and spent,

some will do heroin, off a spoon that they bent.

play the guitar, slowly plucking the strings

wishing they were somewhere else, stuck in the in betweens.

some just have a song, stuck in their head

bouncing around endlessly, til they fall asleep in bed.

< wail on a harp, til they cant blow anymore.

Good that words give us courage, are evidence of mundane life.
They can be a double-edged sword or a music instrument.

My vocabulary and command of the English language give me a noticeable edge in almost everything I do, fighting is about the only thing I can think of that it doesn't. But leading up to a fight I will shred a person with words. Often a large vocabulary is mistaken for arrogance, and I have a large one. Thank you for the review

"Music soothes the savage beast" but drugs very often create savage beasts. Words can sometimes be an expression of courage but they can also be a white flag of surrender. Proverbs says that, "Pleasant words are like honey, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones." Proverbs 16:24 But out of an abundance in the heart the mouth speaks...whether to bring forth from a good treasury of the heart, good things, or from a bitter impoverished, soul, evil and darkness. Let us endeavor to be the former and not the latter. I enjoyed the read.
