The Owl
A Story by Michelle Buckley
Just a short story about an owl, and a nice piece of jewellery because I love them...
The owl was not a happy camper. He had spent the whole night hunting for mice, but he couldn't catch one. He blamed it on the bright moon, the noisy crickets, and the pesky bats. He decided to go back to his tree and sleep, hoping for better luck tomorrow. But as he was flying away back to his home, he saw something shiny on the ground. He couldn't resist and swooped down to take a closer look. It was a silver ring with a blue stone. The owl thought it was pretty and decided to keep it. He put it on his claw and admired how it sparkled in the moonlight. He felt proud and happy. He forgot about his hunger and his bad mood. He flew back to his tree hooting a cheerful tune. He didn't notice that the ring had an inscription on it: "One ring to rule them all, one ring to find them, one ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them."

In appreciation, I'm doing a return review.
I love this one!
Never have seen LOTR but it kinda reminds me of D'Artagnan and The Musketeers...they were sort of magical...and funny. I see the owl swooping and snatching the ring.
Thanks for sharing.
