The Moon and Me

The radiant jewel of the night sky...

A gentle moon lulls me to a restful, cleansing sleep,

Meteors create a sky symphony of dazzling delights;

The distant sound of the ocean waves calms my soul,

Melodic rain, pitter pattering, on the roof top, and windowpane.

Over the horizon comes the break of day,

Bringing with it a cool summer breeze that awakens the trees;

A fanfare of birds begins their chorus,

A kaleidoscope of colours and sounds surrounds me.

Hi Michelle....I believe the moon is somewhat mysterious....at times it is just a sliver and when it's ful it's quite amazing and one can can feel safe and comforted by its glow....nights are dreamy at times when the there is some activity in the cosmos...it excites us and makes our dreams come true(sometimes).....you have some lovely descriptions here and i enjoyed reading this piece...Thank you for sharing!
