Freedom's Flight

Freedom's Flight

A Poem by donny ingraham

Swords raised
Staring death in the eye
Refusing to waver
Refusing to bow
Life has brought me to this battle
The outcome remains uncertain
No time for prayers
Let forgiveness be in blood
Let freedom be claimed by my sword
My hands shall right the wrongs
My sword is in hand prepared for whatever may be my fate

This has the theme of no retreat no surrender feel in the words... standing your ground for a belief of freedom... like fixing the bayonet... when the bullets have run out...
