My Pain

My Pain

A Poem by donny ingraham

All that people see

yet they fail to see beyond the surface

but still judging me

Not knowing the pain behind my eyes

nor the countless times I've cried

these tears are like rain

but nobody can relate to my pain

The struggles

my knuckles are bruised

worrying about food for the day

Barely living

life seems so low

nobody has yet to understand my pain

I stand alone

crying in silence

hoping for a break

Life is hard

my blood spills,

just to see another day

what else remains

my life?

Beautiful. It kinda made me tear a little bit. That's a good thing;) Really heartfelt and revealing. I like how you're questioning 'my life' at the end. I'm sure we all tend to do that a lot.
