history of scissors

history of scissors

A Poem by Don BeeKeeper
"

not a history

"
so i begged you to write me
a history of scissors
and explain in short sentences
why we have come here

to whom do I have the pleasure
of speaking right now?
to whom do i have the pleasure
of speaking right now?

so i begged you to walk a while
under my canvases
and stare at the scriptures we planted
among the snapdragons

so i begged you to sing with me
out in the pine trees
a paeon to tree birds
so true and so lonely
in con gru ous

to whom to whom to whom
oh such pleasure this pleasure
of speaking or winking
in leisure i treasure
right now?

About
I write. I record. Often what I write is attempting to capture a moment in an almost photographic way - but not necessarily visually descriptive - more the shape than the colour. more..
