Where I'm From

A short free verse poem about the things i grew up with and the things i hope i'll still remember over the years.

  I am from sour gummy worms,

From the Hide n' Seek games I won.

 and from the happy meal toys I played with

    I am from the books I read,

 right before I went to bed

 I am from totally spies and the wiggles

   to Teletubbies and That's So Raven

 From "That's odee" and "I know right?!"

 

   I am From Destiny's Child,

From the little Mermaid, Cinderella, and Snow White,

   From Aladdin on Sunday mornings

      Amazing dreams like becoming a popstar

   to wishing to have the power of "telacassy" (telepathy)

 From waiting for the tooth fairy to collect my tooth,

    wishing to be a little kid again is just the plain truth
