never really a mom

never really a mom

A Poem by dorkfish
"

she wasnt...

"

        why you so mad?

[crying]
Because mom has always set me up for failure
Never been there when I needed her
Made me feel like a burden
[crumpling to the floor]
She has never really been a mom
Most moms want to pull their kids into their arms and never let go
But early on she shoved me out of the nest
And all these years I have been hitting branches on my way down
And I have finally smashed into the ground
And she is trying to help me up
But I cant trust her
I’m always worried when she may decide to shove me down again.

Yay, don't trust her yet. When you find someone, become a better mom. That all I can say. You felt that bad for a reason, because you needed the wisdom to do good. Karmic Balance, and you are learning your lesson in this life. Rise above it, and help yourself up, that fall wasn't so bad, and now you can fall from that height and know that you can handle it.

Wow. Not a great image of one's mom. Although, I can't say much. Mine left me when I was a baby. Good write though. Conveys the message perfectly. Love the baby bird analogy and the branches. Kudos.

I love music, it keeps me alive on a daily basis. I'm that girl you might see in your class but never know her name, or you see in the hall completely oblivious to the world with my head phones in and.. more..
