The Urge to Relent

The Urge to Relent

A Poem by dotty
"

A desire is a twisted tale of pleasure and a shameful gratification but do you have the desire to stop its short adrenaline rush or are you going to submit to those devious desires?

"
Desires seemed beautiful
Because..
The ever-last longing of wanting it,
Clouding our clarity of mind,
A day with no end judgements,
Just once,
Yearning to fulfil those beguiling desires,
Yielding to that monstrous power..
Take it, take all of my pain away
And give me one pound worth of complacency
I want to neglect the feeling of righteousness,
End are the days which expect me to be pious and self fulfilling,
Because just once..
I want to be forgotten in my own desires,
As a war never spoken of.

Dear readers, Hope you guys like this piece! This one of the very few short poems I have written because I generally go for a long poem, however I decided to change up my style a bit and step out of my comfort zone. Please review it and let me know if I have made any errors, Thanks x
