Nuage I, II, and III

Nuage I, II, and III

A Poem by DevinPerkins
"

A trilogy of short poems.

"

Nuage I:

A slight reprisal of past sins contest

That this anathema in thoughts

Was a loyal group of hounds

Brought back from the start.

An allegorized oxidisation,

This priest was a killer.

And when loyalists obeyed,

He made them all sinners.

Well, I was a follower,

Excommunicated, as well.

Of course, these clouds all appeared

In the worst timing possible,

For I was a child,

And had dreams in my head...

----

Nuage II:

(Nuage III)

I'm telling you all right now,

I'm breaking away from this charge.

I'm telling you all right now,

There's a defiler in all of us.

So tell me that there's no war,

That nothing can expire us.

Regal commands for the meek

Will leave us all enslaved.

What is it that'll push you

To become elevated?

Assuming you have love for this,

I'm hoping that you'll say "soon."

But I trapped myself in these clouds,

Can someone please come change me?

----

Nuage III:

(The Woman of the Fiery Sun)

And yes you're falling,

All over the crowd.

And yes you're falling,

All over Earth.

And yes you're calling,

For your sunshine.

And yes you're calling,

For your disapparition.

And yes you're clearing

From this big, blue sky.

And yes you're clearing

The dirt from your mind.

And yes you're failing,

But that's all okay.

Because soon these clouds

Will up and dissipate.

But yes, I am free

From the witches of brimstone.

And yes I am free

From the reprisal of my past.

And yes I am calling

For my sunshine.

And yes I am falling

All over Earth.

And yes you realize

That this is not

Your final traverse.
