FORGIVE & FORGET

FORGIVE & FORGET

A Poem by Misti Lee...

I WOULD LIKE TO “THANK YOU”

                      FOR,

             MAYBE…

JUST ONE THING.

IT WAS YOU WHO SHOWED MY HEART

WHAT IT FEELS TO HATE.

AND

IT WAS YOU WHO TAUGHT MY ANGER

HOW HATE CAN BURN WITH RAGE.

THIS IS NOT TO ACKNOWLEDGE

THAT I FEEL ANY REGRET.

I JUST SIMPLY CHOSE…

                      NOT

TO FORGIVE AND FORGET.

THIS IS NOT AN APOLOGY

AND FOR THAT…

                  MAYBE…

I SHOULD BE SORRY.

I DON’T KNOW WHY

CAN’T THINK OF ANYTHING I DID

YOU MUST HAVE REALLY HATED ME THOUGH.

BUT WHAT WERE MY SINS?

MISTI LEE…
