Two Heads Are Better Than One

Two Heads Are Better Than One

A Poem by Archipelago

Yelling won’t get your point across any better

On second thought, keep yelling

Understanding is overrated

All I ask is that you leave some time for silence

Remember that there are some things which no one can tell you

Everyone has a bit of everyone else in them, somewhere

At least, that’s what I believed

Last night I was staring at the ceiling

Learning from the thoughts that come in quiet

Only when people are absent can you figure them out

Until you realize this, life will go on

Tomorrow will rise up again

Of course it will be the same as yesterday

Funny you should ask, I was just wondering myself

Yes, I think life goes on and on

Onward forever, no going back

Upward forever, lives up in smoke

Rising to heaven, they call it progress

Funny you should say, it isn’t that funny

Ultimately, our side will win

Concentrate on waiting till then

Knowledge will triumph, it reproduces

Ignorance, you see, is taught, not born

No turning back, once that day comes

Great things will be upon us then

Maybe then someone will wonder

If things had been worse before

No one will remember

Don’t let that thought trouble you
So educate, forward on
