Again

Again

A Poem by Archipelago
"

and again

"

We're all just rising up for the fall

We're sitting on our asses, getting fat before the slaughter

Trapped by whitewashed walls

These f*****g lights, these f*****g sounds

Every restless muscle screams

"Kill me now"

Hello again, my friend

I knew you'd be back in the end

You act aloof as if you lead yourself

All that rises must descend

And try as you might,

Some wounds will never mend

Where is the princess now?

In a chamber deep beneath the ground

I'm searching for a sign

That there are lives better than mine

I need to save someone to save myself

I wish the world outside my mind

Would shrivel in the sun and slowly die

If only it was only me and you

If only it was always like that night

It would never again be dark

I would never lose my smile

And I wouldn't always sleep

Just to see you for a while

Alien places make me itch at my palms

I whispering softly to the wind

They stare like they've never seen it before

I'm sorry I'm not on the streets yet

You'd accept it there

But not among your own

F**k you, you're the reason I'm alone

The only one who can call me back to where I'm meant to be

Is so very far away

Cliche after cliche

Comes rolling off my tounge

For pity's sake, smile

And bring me back the sun

It's been so long since I have seen the sun

I'm going blind from these f*****g lights

I'm losing my mind

So let it go

I still need you

Don't let what I say fool you
