Mine All Mine

Mine All Mine

A Poem by drcornelius

There’s a place that has no name

Where I sometimes go to rest

At the end of a long dark road

Where wandering souls are blessed

The darkness of the road

Is not cause for fear or dread

I close my eyes, calm my breath

And go where my heart is led

These is no charge for sustenance

No need to pay my way

The doors are never locked

There’s always room for me to stay

That long dark road is always there

I can ride it on my breath

It takes me to a quiet place

With little care of life and death

It’s up to me how long I stay

No one comes to make me leave

What I do is up to me

To celebrate or to grieve

Some call this meditation

Others call it wasting time

I don’t care what others call it

For this special place is mine

It’s not possible to share this place

No matter how close we may be

But if you ride the breeze of your breath

You too can set yourself free
