Sutures

Sutures

A Poem by Brittany
"

I didn’t know I was opening your wounds, even when your blood was covering my fingertips. I couldn’t tell if it was yours or mine. We are both so fragile and torn. I'm sorry I did this to us. I hope..

"
I didn’t know I was opening your wounds,
even when your blood was covering my fingertips.
I couldn’t tell if it was yours or mine.
We are both so fragile and torn.
I'm sorry I did this to us.
I hope one day there'll be enough gauze to stop the bleeding.
I can't stitch you up,
I'm not a doctor.
I don't even have a phone to call an ambulance.
So I'm washing the blood off my hands and leaving.
I'm sorry for your loss.
I think you'll be ok.
