Dreaming

I was so excited to see you, I forgot that I needed to eat.
When I had to leave, I was so disappointed that I didn’t want to eat anymore.
I slept shaky and uncomfortable in the bus on the ride home. 
But I made it up by lying in my bed for two weeks straight.
I wished I was lying with you.
I’ve never missed anyone this badly.
I forgot how to miss myself.
I wanted to be with you more than anyone, even myself.
And now I still lie in my bed,
waiting until sleep can deliver me again to you,
but you eagerly keep me awake.
