I love short poems that feel full.

These few lines dramatize a simple problem that can be a metaphor to much bigger problems. Even if it's not a metaphor, a reader can feel the annoyance of this simple scene and find a philosophical note in it.

"yellow" is great word choice in line 3.

That's how it goes. Washing on the line, down comes the rain. We have a name for that in the UK, it's called Sod's Law. Nice visuals of that bright yellow raincoat getting splattered.
