Despairing Love

As you left me waiting for your answer,

It reminded me of that winter’s day,

You were trying to be the advancer,

With your response you made my heart betray.

My tears fall like the drenching rains of night,

Woe is me that I have loved a lemon,

The pain that I will feel won’t remain light,

You’re a bee that is drawn to other men.

But my heart aches for you and only you,

I love you even though you have left me,

I have been sad just like the rainy blues,

I hope you are happy without your king bee.

Even though the new sadness has prevailed,

Your new life without me has been unveiled.
