Mankind

Mankind

A Poem by CASSARA

Our lifetime journey to seek truth,

Is instilled in every forthcoming generation.

We begin to question our existence first at youth,

But then soon learn that we must remain patient.

Some of us run, some of us stay,

Both with the same goal in mind,

To find truth, a sign,

A reason for why we're here today.

But to understand reality,

One must remove oneself from it,

Review it from a birds eye,

And come to terms with fallacy.

GOD has put us in this mysterious place-

And so we accredit Him with our existence, just to feel safe.

Because we may not like what we may one day find;

A hopeless, and meaningless, senseless, mankind.
