Labyrinth

Labyrinth

A Poem by Doreen
"

What is the definition of insanity?

"

Brick and mortar crumble
in my world of analogies and metaphors.
My senses fall asleep,
tingling with the weight of sand;
needles biting skin.

A labyrinth filled
with cries of agony
shifting
     spinning
          recreating...
LIES

or merely half truths --
a paradox of insanity.
My world of brick and mortar

When I read this, two separate visions came to me. The world of the film "Inception" and the scene from "A New Nightmare" when the camera is panning through Freddy's brain. Don't ask me why! I love both the look and the feel of this piece. It feels dark and sinister to me and you know how much I like that!
