Star

May your light shine trough someones heart

Like the space above my head,

So empty and void of anything but dread.

Oh how i wish, wish for a star to be born there,

To shine it's warm light trough the thick vail of despair.

Oh how i wish for it to warm me, to spark my heart,

For it to feel again, for the light to come shining back

Into my eyes, for my soul to feel the touch of another one.

But like the space above my head,

Stars are few and scarce. Why should I be special and have one

For my heart, when my universe does nothing but fall apart?

Still I wish for that day to come, when a star will shine like a beacon of light.

For the darkness to be fought by the love of another one,

and maybe I too shall no longer suffer.
