Perception

Meditations on Jung

We live parallel lives

One within which whispers metaphors

Through our dreams

Both asleep and awake

Seemingly irrational

Speaks wisdom

To those who have ears to hear

Dreams are real to dreamers

Emotional reactions confirm

Realm of fantasy hides behind persona

Mask dancing on ethereal planes

Truth laughing in the shadows

Other life emerges through waking eyes

Common reality to some

Scientifically proven through mathematics

Time and space measured

With atmospheric controls

Recorded by neurotransmitters of memory

Upon the conscious mind

Accessed like a computer

But organized emotionally

Easily accessed by smells

More difficultly by other senses

Revisited within at will

Union of opposites sacred

Within and without personified

Material girl in a material world

Enlightened by the Spirit

Masks surgically removed

Vulnerable to the elements

Eternity ever present in Now

Fear exclusive enemy of the heart

God resides in the unconscious

Anima and animus wrapped in passion

Perception’s song vibrates universally

Individualized throughout every single life
