A Poem by Drowning In Reality

Woven

I fight the world
Moment by moment
It seeks my conformity
To a society I can’t comprehend

My riches are not measured
By the gold standard
My blessings come from the joy
Of watching my garden grow

I take no pleasure
In watching the world explode
People abusing each other
For political control

There will be no peace on earth
Until there is peace within
Each and every person
Utopians cannot be weak

I live my faith
One breath at a time
My Gnosis interpreted
Through my heart

I live my life
Unlike any other
When the Spirit moves me
Surrender remains essential

I stand before you naked
While I pray you’ve learned mercy
Wouldn’t hide my warts if I could
Granted to me by Divine Right

Pride is the light which guides my way
Passion a tool for insight
Sins afford us blessings
Lessons on the path to Nirvana

I was once upon a time
I am now but I look different
As I will next time I look
Different memories, same essence

A molecule in a piece of thread
Weaving the existence of time
Independent yet playing my role
In the process called Creation
