Fire Dance

Fire Dance

A Poem by Drowning In Reality

Fire Dance

Satan frightens me
Not in the slightest
I faced the worst
I survived triumphantly

Shadows of subconscious
Smile in my direction
I grin purposefully
Knowing their place in my life

Vampires suck our emotional core
They cannot take my soul
Demons fear me
For I laugh at them

Passion is my friend; desire enlightens
I lack repression’s weight
Passion fuels me on
The path to immortality

Creative potential exacerbates individuality
I am often mistaken for other
Than I am
Perceptions are annoying little buggers

Pan dances before me passions ablaze
Choice is mine, always was
Impermanence is my dance of joy
Watch me burn

I am the hermaphrodite
On the Tree of Life
Creation emboldens my actions
Water fuels the holocausts of desire

You cannot seduce me to your will.
Oppositional is my middle name
I hold Satan by the scrotum daringly
While he screams in agony

My roots are deep
I blow in the wind
Humor in tact
Eternity surrounds me

I meet your eye boldly
And smirk
Let the healing begin
