Adrift in me

There is a sea within and waves that rage

 Adrift in Mar Infinitum

rudderless at the mercy of fates whims

 

the horizon offers no solace

the stars have hidden themselves

 

cruel waves threaten to capsize

beasts of the deep welcome with hungry teeth,

 

where is the light that guides,

the promises of a safe voyage was everything but sincere,

 

there is no turning back,

even Lunas smile would be welcome,

replace the darkness,

 

let me see death when it comes,

let me welcome the end with clear vision,

 

instead,

blind to the surroundings,

 

terror is what my heart dines on,

my ears tell me things too horrible for my eyes to see,

 

escaping into imaginations landscape is my mother’s arms,

she opens to receive,

 

splash of waves has stolen a moments respite,

where is the hope that peddlers of the miraculous sold me,

 

I strain to see,

 

eventually it will end,

me at the bottom,

or washed up on land...........

Yes, the stars have hidden themselves, the beasts of the deep seem to be victorious on our voyage through life, the Destroyer often seems to be the victor.
