Say A Little Prayer

Say A Little Prayer

A Poem by Laura Ann Ford

I say a little prayer for those who are in need

For those who are lost or alone in a world so mean

I say a little prayer for those who are ill

For those in a hospital or home somewhere

For those who keep fighting to survive everyday

And those who have finally lost their will to stay

I say a little prayer for the worried and sad

Who miss their loved ones in faraway lands

For the soldiers who stand and fight everyday

To protect our freedoms, our hopes, and our dreams

I say a little prayer for the children in need

The poor, and abused, neglected, or sick

Lord lift them up and give them strength

I say a little prayer for those who have passed

Bless their souls and take them in your hands

I say a little prayer for the animals so innocent

Who didn’t deserve to be thrown in a ditch

I have one simple wish for all in the world

May He bless you, and hold you in His grace

May you feel loved, and needed, and free to live

I say a little prayer for all who read these words

May your heart be filled with joy and love.
