The End

The End

A Poem by dylancjames

Dylan Chase James

The End

Heaven on earth, It was Hades she thought,
Vultures swooped over the wrongdoers caught.
Bodies scattered over a world that had been,
The King witnessed all, the angels had seen.

Some of them numbered, their faith had reward,
Ignorant minds felt God's mighty sword.
Birds circled skies and fed on their prey.
The bad hadn't known it would be their last day.

All humans slain had been offered the chance,
To stand and behold the Lord of the Dance,
Greenery crept through the skyscrapers built,
Nature to conquer man, absent of guilt.

The heavens opened and the sky turned black,
Hay men in fields turned away from their stack,
To be parted and counted, Armageddon was now,
The dying believed, the last word heard “How?"

In your "about" you indicated that you are visually impaired, and it's clear reading this piece that you have many, many more ways to see than with your eyes. Nicely done.
