Anger

Anger

A Poem by earthgirl16

Anger,
Taking control of my body,
So fierce,
So tough,
So strong,
The anger that riots through my blood,
When I hear your name,
I thought what we had was forever,
But forever is no more,
Forever has gone,
And never coming back,
I thought what we had was,
love,
Now I realize I was wrong,
What we had was not love,
It was just a few strands holding us together,
And those strands were snapping one by one,
Until we snapped,
And it was over,
But even then I thought we could save these last glimmers of what I thought was love,
But no,
You are no longer the man you once were,
You have grown hard and rigid like winter itself,
Everything you,
Do,
Say,
Is hateful,
And to think I once called to my soulmate,
My lover,
My partner,
My friend,
You never were,
And never will be,
I only have one emotion towards you now,
Anger.
