Scene One:

New School Year Old Faces

Ellie walks through the doors and doesn't see a familiar face until...

 

Destiny-

(Excited) Hey gal! What-is-goin'-on!

Ellie-

(Not so interested) Hey Desty...

Destiny-

Can you believe it! Junior year, baby!

Ellie-

Yeah... It flew by so quickly, I guess.

Destiny-

(Raises eyebrow) I guess? Girl this is where we finally rule the school! You know what I'm saying! Well, we come before the softies and freshmen for sure!

Ellie-

I guess... (In search of somebody else)

Destiny-

 So what's your home room class?

Ellie-

 [in her head thinking -PLEASE NOT BE HISTORY PLEASE NOT BE HISTORY. GOD PLEASE LISTEN TO ME, DON’T LET HER SAY HISTORY!-]

Destiny-

Mine is history!

Ellie-

. . . [GREAT, thanks a lot God!] That’s cool... me too, history first… looks like you are going to be in most of my classes… again. [NOOO!] (Fake smiles)

Destiny-

(SUPPER excited) OH MY GOD, that's awesome! Same homeroom again! Can you believe it! UGH, who would have thought, you probably be taking English AP again! Girl gotta try other stuff out there. . .

Ellie-

 ... No... No I can't.... I really can't (sigh)

Destiny-

Whatevera!

Ellie-

(Eyes roll)

 

Owen- Bumps into Ellie

Oh sorry... Ellie? Man, is that you?

Ellie-

Yeah... It's still me...

Owen-

(Jaw nearly drops) Wow... you look... [Beautiful]

Destiny-

[Cuts in before Owen is able to finish] (Flirty) OH hey Owen. (Softly pushes Ellie, twists her hair, and gets in between Ellie and Owen) How’s everything going?

Owen-

(Eyes quickly look at Destiny then straight back at Ellie and move towards her way)Oh, yeah, hey...

Destiny-

 How was your summer?

Owen-

(Very disinterested) Great... So Ellie, what class you in?

                            Ellie-                           

Hm, never did get read of that slang language didn't you... (Smiles kindly)  

Owen-

I guess I haven’t… so which class are you in?

Ellie-

(Not so interested) History, first period...

Owen-

(Smiles) Me too...

Ellie-

[GREAT! Another fellow class mate I just... love.] Oh that’s cool…

Destiny-

Oh yeah, me too... I'm in that class, too!

Ellie-

[DON'T remind me...] (Rolls eyes to thin air) She isn’t lying, that’s for sure…

Owen-

Oh that's cool... So see you around...Ellie?

Ellie-

 (Sarcastically) First period, just like last...

Owen-

Yeah...

Destiny-

Hey, um, you had Ms. Slammer last year, right Owen?

Owen-

Yeah...?

Destiny-

Well I might get lost, wanna walk with me? I have her second period…

Owen-

(Looks down at Destiny's smiling face) Sure...You coming Ellie?

Ellie-

Nah, you guys go without me… I'm waiting up for someone.

Owen-

Yeah... oh okay... see you soon then...

Ellie-

 Yeah... see real you. (Half smiles)

Owen

(smiles eagerly)

 Owen and Destiny leaves while Owen is looking back at Ellie and Destiny is talking non sense
