All of Me

All of Me

A Poem by Liz-z

Picture perfect,
What I thought I had to be
A perfect picture,
Is what I tried to be

I was foolish
To think this was true

Trying to be
What I'm not set out to be
Was already damaging me
I'm shredding some of me,
Just so you can like who I'm not?

I found out the hard way
How much I mean to me,
If you want a piece of me
You need all of me

Meaningful! rather have a person to like me for me than a person i pretend to be. if he doesn't like me for me, than his lost! Great poem! Everyone wants to be liked for who they are.

True.... about growing up, life in general. Just amazing. Love the rhyming scheme.
