Arbitrary Suicide

Arbitrary Suicide

A Poem by eatmills

It was so abstract an ending

that I could not bear

to begin the passion of acceptance

and shying away from all else.

It's what I've always have

wanted from the start,

and if I fall, leave me,

to the tortures of lost souls.

The sweet lie,

that makes you want to kiss

formed lips.

It was all so sexual,

but the imagery wasn't.

The steps that lead to the final plan,

are filled with hidden successes.

Take me out of the equation.

It fills me with corrupt fascination.

The telephone rang,

filling me with temptations,

to the statements you make.

The subway of prefabricated coffins

for the ill at planning.

The idea sparked something.

How do I witness it all,

so it could be realized?

We ride betwixt the wonderment.

Laughing at the dreams,

we deny ourselves.

Horrid anchorage.  Dead stop.

Against the wall across the border,

on a broken down golf cart,

we smash the beer

and the disorder brewed.

Dreams of passion.

Archaic senselessness.

Life of rapture,

that separates the mess.

Faust!

We make deals covered

under the night of darkness.

Like demons hiding,

from the holiness of the dead.

I invented you.

I didn't invent this.

You invented me,

And this horrible mess.

Destroy.  Erase.  Improve.

Wasn't that what was said?

When I am here and you are there,

doesn't that make you here too?

Sometimes the vessel sinks.

The survivors float,

upon the ocean of souls,

awaiting their fate.

Sink or swim.

The choice has to be made,

in fragments of pain.

I saw the beast and told them

that you were not theirs to devour.

I saw the witness and told them

about our detour.

The detour that has to be taken.

Back to the plane.  Remember?

Arbitrary Piglettes on the wings,

feasting on what was not seen.
