A Poem by Maya

I’m writing on the backside of my arm

messages to you

to remind myself you are the pulse inside my skin.

An enigmatic ink tattoo

and those sacred witchcraft signs

of desire.

My blue veins are overflowing,

my heart’s drumming in the rhythm of the pen.

Then

 I turn around

and

while there’s still nobody there

I hastily try to erase

the marks you leave on me.

Oh my goodnesh. Is this about trying to remind yourself you still love someone? The last two lines as well, trying to hide or escape?

Oh my goodnesh. Myseriously written...sh.
