At 6 AM

At 6 AM

A Poem by elamarillo

At 1 AM…

I turn my face to the wind.

She seeks me.

I tilt my head towards the gales

And her gaze finds me

At 2 AM…

I close my eyes and face the heavens

Praying she’s in Hell beneath me

Flesh, soothing flesh

Does her image beseech me.

At 3 AM…

She’s prying through my mind

Dripping into a growing sea of thoughts

Of lust and regrets

At 4 AM…

I’m soaked in sweat

My skin so sallow

And my eyes a harrowing red

At 5 AM…

A cry for help

Becomes a ghostly whisper

At 6 AM…

I seek the noose

At 6 AM…

She wraps her arms around me.

At 6 AM.

I did, thank you!
ah such a good way to be hung----passion...suffocated with the good feelings--like the heat of this wind...
