sunflowers

sunflowers

A Poem by Zoe

you touched my hair
hard
i laughed i laughed
releasing air
and you touched my trembling breast
bruised
i laughed i laughed
releasing air
and you pushed those
sunflowers in my nose
i laughed i laughed
and blew the petals away
the night could swallow me whole

now i remember
i remember
oh, sweet sunflower
i should have known
you were afraid of the dark.

oh delicious. this poem is filled with emotion... i didn't know quite what i was feeling, or what i was supposed to feel, but i think thats what i liked about it. it was punishing and freeing at the same time.

great job
