lets take a minute to appreciate adolescence

lets take a minute to appreciate adolescence

you told me once
that grey would never stop
overlapping and overlapping
today is when it cleared
the sky and you

i cant remember the last thing you said
but i looked at the moon
i saw it telling me it's okay
and i know it's not the end
but the ribbons in my hair
that were blowing in the wind
they told me secrets
that the earth was round
that the sky was blue
about the things that will never change
and i know i dont have to worry about you
