Catharsis

Catharsis

A Poem by elizabutterfly

With a step forward to my doom,

My stark half conscious state,

Devoured and mutilated…

Cried listlessly to the dark moon,

Agony of my life, dreary and ill fated,

The holy purgatory chants around me.

My soul, lost in the endless sea,

Of crisis and crushed identity,

I howled, drenched in the ruddy tears,

The darkness of the infernal lake..

The Gods are sleeping,

They have never been awake.
