Gypsy Rose

Gypsy Rose

A Poem by Reetta

Song lyrics

"
There is only so much that Gypsy Rose can do for me,
an end must come
to the bitter sweet freedom.

There is only so much the sweet smell of cigarettes does for me,
the comfort it brings
is no longer satisfying to me

Woollen socks, foggy windows, Earl Grey tea,
red brick houses, fresh pine and dark roast coffee

Only Gypsy Rose knows home the way I do,
and knows comfort
no longer feels like it used to

Woollen socks, foggy windows, Earl Grey tea,
red brick houses, fresh pine and dark roast coffee

There is only so much that Gypsy Rose can do for me,
an end must come
to the bitter sweet freedom.

Baretoes, hardwood floors, airports...
