Fading Light

Fading Light

A Poem by SilentDreamer

The house was in the town-

Blue, old and creaky.

Full of laughter from all

The family.

Aunts, uncles, cousins-

All in one space.

That could get to be so noisy,

So overwhelming with chatter

To five year old me.

Who happened to find

Ways to escape.

But not alone.

At dusk each day I would

Step out into fading light

With my mother

Just to

Walk in the quiet

Softness of the sunset.

This has a beautiful flow and it was so smooth that I felt as if I were sinking in your thoughts inside the the sunset...xo
