Equinox

Equinox

A Poem by Ella Simone

I have never known a boy so well
And yet I’m still in awe
Of how it seems you’ve swallowed stars
You are an astral reflection
A constellation of celestial smiles
Even through the meteors that crumble at your feet

Although it dazzles me to witness your luminescence
It moves me more
To have laid in the craters in your cosmic bravado
To hold you
Through the dark of your eclipse

I saw you
Flesh and blood and cavities
Trembling and earthly
Wrapped in gravity
And you have never been so beautiful
