Sun, Moon, and Ocean

Sun, Moon, and Ocean

A Poem by ellen
"

A love triangle between the Sun, Moon, and Ocean.

"

The warmth of blue layers the earth,

And the day begins with the sun giving birth,

To sunbeams and rays that travel full of mirth,

To where water encases the mountains and plains,

Because the queendom of the ocean still reigns,

She shapes the earth with gentle waves and tsunamis of pain,

Sometimes drowning the landmarks in the darkest navy and richest indigo,

Mountains and canyons are hidden deep down low,

Where secrets are lost and monsters say hello,

And the moon is whispering it’s everlasting secrets,

Leaving the seas curious and sleepless,

Thinking about the past and future spirits,

But on the other side of the world, the ocean is warmed by the sun,

Who promises lovely temptations for fun,

Leaving the seas cozy and the sun thinking it has won,

However the treasures of the seas are what the moon also wants,

Both the sun and moon are stuck in the aura of the ocean that is their haunt,

Always trying to reach each other and interact but they shan't,

On the surface, the sun has warmed the water with promises of sweet kisses,

No intention of making the ocean a missus,

Just desirous to experience blisses,

And the daylight follows through, letting the sunbeams dance with ocean waves,

Together they get in trouble and misbehave,

Making a road of daydreams and fantasies that they pave,

Even the Sun Shark comes to bask and worship the waltz of sunlight and tides,

Slipping underneath the excitable waves and letting the sun caress its sides,

Feeling its own blood become infected with heat that melts its insides,

The Sun Shark glorifies in the fractured picture of the sun underneath the oceans lens,

Staring at the broken beauty of the ocean bends,

Almost being blinded by the sunlights trends,

The picture similar to a torn tapestry of binding white and pale yellow, that bleeds into light cobalt,

The colors sinking and seeping into the water and the Sun Shark halts,

As if physically stopped by the color’s assault,

However while the Sun Shark soaks in beautiful rays, jellyfish dance with moonlight,

Creating otherworldly spectacles in our sight,

Something we can’t even comprehend with all our might,

The moon seduced the seas with its dusty galaxies, a luminous Milky way, and shimmering stars,

Intoxicating each other with beauty similar to jaguars,

Dark and dangerous but also with light reservoirs,

That are reflected on the face of the water,

Showing the marvels of the universe to the earth’s seawater,

While also giving the universe a picture of its matter,

Almost as if to say that the ocean was as beautiful as every planet and comet,

The moon could find something to love while forever in orbit,

Only looking at the sea and atomic allure that it emits,

The ocean sent her bioluminescent jellyfish to the surface,

To greet the galaxies and show them the earth’s circus,

Full of shining golden lions, glowing white foxes, and bright green tortoises,

So that they can keep the universe busy while she flirted with the bright moon,

Because the temptations of the sun couldn’t compare to the tune,

Of the love song that she heard each night of her honeymoon,

This is too sublime for words! the narrative dances and flows with such mysticity that it simply leaves the readers in awe with all its strong and vivid imagery and beautiful story-telling topped with seamless rhymes. My only comment is on musicality. Your rhymes are fine, but every poem should have an equally seamless musicality to give the poem it's breath and vivacity in order to really capture the reader and bring them in further (read it allowed, and you'll be able to hear where the lines get too wordy). That is all! You have a gem in the making, my friend, and you would definitely find it rewarding if you tweak the musicality. His has potential! It's gonna go places if taken good care of, I foresee it! Well freaking done!

Gorgeous! Just gorgeous!
And I love the triplet format.
The Sun Shark is my favorite image. Though there are so many to choose from.

A couple of typos:
'Not intention of making the ocean a missus,"
I believe you meant 'no' rather than 'not' in this line.

And this one is self-explanatory:
'While also giving the universe a picture itst’s matter,'

Keep writing stuff like this and i will keep reading! :)
