Words Cannot Explain

How to put to words something so beautiful?

Words cannot explain what I feel for you

They will never explain how much I love you.

Try as I might

I will never succeed

In painting that scene

Of you and me,

 

As we lay in the grass

Green as can be,

Vibrant like absinthe,

And refreshing like spring.

 

Whilst the clouds up above us,

Snow -white fleeting dreams

 

On an ocean of tears ,

of sorrow and joy

Were carried away

By an azure hold.

 

Oh how to describe

When your eyes met mine…

How my heart burst

And poured into my mind!

 

And the very short moment

When our fingertips touched

As we lay side by side

Your eyes up at the sky.

 

Oh how beautiful you were,

So beautiful, I thought I would cry.

So beautiful

That I wanted to die.
