A short poem, of having a crush and realizing that they like someone else

Things start

And things end

But what happens in between

Is what can hurt the most

A wink.

That’s all it took

For me to fall

Fall hard

Science Class

Next to you

Laughing, joking

A smile

Images in my mind

Kissing, touching, falling in love

What if’s and If When’s

All just a dream

A broken Chance

A silence of words

A change of seats

A lack of response

A smile

This time, not reflecting mine

To another girl

Unknowing of a dreamt up history

A relationship never kindled

A million words unsaid

A dramatic fall by me

A calm walk ahead by you

Is this for you

Or healing

For me
