A Poem by Emily Joy
"

I just randomly started writing, and ended up with this.

"

You say you’ve been through way too much.
The scars on your arms show just how much.
You say it’s been enough, and just want to end it.
Want to give in, and you just want out.

Keep your chin up.
Keep your head held high.
Look at what you’ve been through.
Knowing it makes you who you are today
Never forget where you’ve been.
But keep your eyes on where you’re going.
Most of all, remember who your friends are.

You say the memories just won’t go away.
But I garuntee you this, it’ll be okay someday.
The past you can’t forget.
But the past is the past.
Look toward your future and work for the best.

Keep your chin up.
Keep your head held high.
Look at what you’ve been through.
Knowing it makes you who you are today
Never forget where you’ve been.
But keep your eyes on where you’re going.
Most of all, remember who your friends are.

You’re stronger than you know.
You just have to keep looking forward.
Life isn’t always like this.
You’ll be okay soon, I promise.
