Loneliness is for the Better

Just wrote this. Thought of a quote, "Who are you when you're alone?"

Who are you
when you're all alone?
You probably
couldn't care any less
about what I have
to do or say,
but once in a while,
you need to
just simply
let go
of everything
and everyone
who fills up
your life with
only pure bullshit.
When I'm alone,
without anyone
and their filthy lies,
you'll find me
engulfed in silent cries,
trying to erase
all those ridiculous mem'ries
you fed into
my mind.
The sweet,
meaningless words
you whispered in my ear
went in one
and was so close
to going straight
out the other,
but of course,
they must linger
on my lips
and taunt me
and myself
throughout the night.
For once in my life,
let the voices
hush to silence
and let the glares
cease to stare.
Let the words
stay on their lips
and the greed
stay in their mind.
Let me be truly
alone,
just please...
