Rejected

This feeling of rejection..hmmmm

A rainbow of smile was such a trend
On the cherubic  night when we chose to blend
The love and happiness that was impossible to bend
That we nurtured and maintained the power to mend

Yes, it was an ever fixed mark
As Shakespeare told me not to embark
If hearts aren't ready to enter the ark
Of love and glory as a heavenly park

I sought and fought without regret
The love of a dame I could never forget
The hands of an angel that had been so cold
The hair and face that I was eager to hold

Changes are now in a gradual pursuit
That is making our world as a corpse and mute
Ignoring what we have started to dream
And rejecting our love that is losing its gleam

Tears are falling and bed becomes a friend
The world is so bright but still so afraid
Facing the pitch black face of  reflection
Of a poor wounded heart caused by rejection

Hello, Kabayan. I just accepted your friend request and I'm so glad to have another Kabayan friend here.

When we receive rejection from those persons whom we admire, love or respected, we feel so much pain in our hearts. But then, our world should continue moving not for them but for ourselves. Sometimes we just don't notice that by aiming so much some things which are really hard to hold, we forget that we have already important things at hand...which we could lose if we'll not pay attention to them.

If someone in your right side rejects you, you can look on the other side...perhaps you can see someone is just there standing beside you all the time.

In terms of prosody, I like how you rhyme your words. Nice subject, anyway love is always a nice subject though sometimes the tone is sad.

Poignant yet written beautifully. Keep writing.

Been there too..like for the nth time..haha..perhaps, that's even an understatement. I guess you've even witnessed some of those toughest times..sa school & personal life..hehe..but then again, we need to stand firm in faith..and believe that everything that our Creator allowed to come across our path is with a great purpose. He uses even the deepest pain and the most unbearable hurt to mold us into a person of worth and value. Keep your chin up and your heart bright Emman. He will take care of things..it'll turn out just right.

That feeling of rejection will come to pass. Soon enough, you will learn to befriend "acceptance". The process is truly hard..it can swallow you alive. Rejection is the mother of self-pity..and self-pity is the root of depression. But don't let it consume you. My friend, I'm quite sure you will learn to love yourself more after this. Look inside you. Like all His creations, you are a wonderful person. You deserved to be loved and accepted :)
