Living Like the Ants

When I was alone yesterday afternoon

I saw little creatures with so many clones

Fast like a rocket flying up to the moon

And you cannot see them walking all alone

 

Yes, I was looking to the cute tiny ants

With curiosity and keen observation to each one

They were saving food taken from everywhere

To feed their colony when the world is despair

 

Ants are very hardworking creatures

They work night and day to increase their ventures

Armies are always alert to protect

The queen who’s the only laying all the eggs

 

To support each other is their basic rule

No ants can be considered as an unproductive fool

Because they help each other digging a hole

To keep their hopes and making their lives full

 

If people could just live following this lifestyle

And putting into mind this kind of idea

That if we support each other without letting go

Then life would be better without uneasy flow

 

I just want to remind with all my concern

That life on earth is not everlasting

By the right time all of us will vanish

 Save for the best… hope is more than a wish

Superbly done ! A great example we should all take and thanks for pointing it out ! I enjoyed also your last verses because they make us think ! Talking about the poem's structure what i liked the most was the random rhymes, many poets here have already given up from rhymes xD

Never seen anyone work as hard as an ant does. They are just driven and repeat over and over again their jobs...and for an extremely short period of time. Bees do the same in some instances. Amazing the life of certain insects.. :) But life is complex...more so then what most of us think. Having many different ways to travel and decisions to be made...we never really live a complete life...there is always something we want to do to change something...a way of regret talking :)
