Because I Can't

Because I Can't

A Poem by Ency Bearis
"

Love Poem I composed for anyone

"

On the day I decided to bury you

deep in the cemetery of oblivion

I gathered all the roses in blue, gray

and black colors - to symbolize hate

Yet it cannot change the delightful

color of your memento of moments

and the smear of your memory

is deeply tinted into solid color

I like to brush off the permanence

of your tattoo dotted in my heart

by strong detergent called as amnesia

yet it won't wash away the color of your love

And I tried to freeze that warm affection

it just melted to crystalline endearment

To ignore the pureness of your love, compassion

the more my heart is in ire of fire of passion

This is a unique poem, though cemetery seems not that elegant word to combined with oblivion, but I still I embrace it just like the other word detergent. This is stunning, I love it Sir Ency, love this couplets:

I like to brush off the permanence
of your tattoo dotted in my heart

Nice poem, Sir Ency...for anyone. Lol. :) I love couplets. :)

I am again confused with this phrase "cemetery of forget". Just like in your last line, the phrase "fire of passion", it's correct. The word that goes after the preposition "of" should be a noun, which is then called "object of preposition. "forget" can't be an object of preposition so it can be made into a noun (forgetfulness or forgetting). Hope it can help.

Sir, ha? Baka naman magalit ka na sa akin...no offense, please. Peace. Smile. :)

Yes, Sir. Oblivion is a noun and is synonymous to forgetfulness.
