The Tablet

The Tablet

A Poem by Ency Bearis
"

A sort of poem story with a little bit of humor

"

My eighteen years old daughter

asked a gift from her grandmother

Grandma promised, it will be given that day

Because it's my daughter's birthday

Grandma let my daughter to buy her gift

Grandma gave her, her credit card to buy the gift

So my daughter that day bought the gift on sale

Thereafter to grandma gave her the bill of sale

Grandma asked; What you got?

My daughter said; The tablet I got.

Why the tablet, are you sick? Grandma said

Yes, I'll be sick if I did not got it. My daughter said

Then grandma read the invoice, she can't believe it

For it was so expensive, $ 599.00 the cost of the tablet

Oh, it might be a lot of tablets of what she thought

But my daughter said, it's an iPad tablet I bought

Grandma quipped; " Oh, that tablet is now small tevee? "

" When I was their age, tablet is medicine supposed to be "

" Tablets that always cure my headache "

" Now the tablet's price caused me a headache "
