Norse War PoetryA Poem by Ian TeoNorse War Poetry with references of Odin and Valhalla.
Stand by me,
Brothers and warriors Beyond lies the rainbow bridge Where heroes to Valhalla meet Let it be worthy of our keep Through this glorious battle Let our mortal blood seethe Swords clash and helmets smash May our courage be truly tested For eternity we will be rested Shall we fall, Bodies torn and souls lost May we enter Odin's hall Where one who stands before Odin's greatest kings of all Onwards, Made brothers of this day March together into the fray Live and die on this day Heroes of the heathen foray When the gjallarhorn sound Skies shall cry of thunder While fools run aground Earth will be torn asunder As brothers, we will be found If Ragnarok's coming, Gods and kings to the fighting Let it be this one final day Where all shall enter the fray Kings of the heathenish foray Only the best, Shall step into Valgrind gate Beyond where Valhalla awaits Where glorious is the dead And eternal is Odin's grace. © 2016 Ian TeoAuthor's Note
