Halloween Land

Halloween Land

A Poem by Eric Cox
"

The Grim Reaper drawing us to His land of death.

"
The Grim Reaper said: "Take my hand
walk the Halloween Land
leave the Earth behind
let your souls unwind
take a tombstone walk
let your bones talk
see the vultures overhead
you know you are dead
now you belong to me
in my graveyard sea
I'm so glad countless took my hand
and walk the Halloween Land
now you will bathe in tombstone black
now the cobwebs of death shall never lack
now you shall be forever under my spell
in a coffin hell."

Love it! The tall spooky skeleton like person draped in his long black flowing robes who horrifies you beyond belief when he turns to you and does that come to me thingy with his pointy skeleton finger! Your poems brings this image to my mind but this Grim Reaper isn't going to take you over the River of Style to the Land Of The Dead. Something worse awaits this Death creature. Perfect write for Halloween and horror lovers!

You paint this canvas in the darkest, wildest hues of fear and surrender. A powerful glimpse of the soul's lingering spell.

Wow, good horror! Very creepy. It almost has a dark tenderness about it, how gentle the horrifying Grim Reaper seems.

This one is really eerie and spooky. It gives a good visual of someone being lead to their doom!

Awesome horror poem!

Very dark and chilling. We all eventually end up taking the Grim Reaper's hand but does he have to relish it so much? Just take me across the River Styx to the Land Of The Dead. I'll pay the Ferry Man. Outstanding horror write.
